Time management is the single most important factor when working at home.

Quality products, productive advertising  and marketing campaigns, excellent customer service all take a back seat to how you manage your time.

Don't try to find time. You will never find more time in the day to squeeze in additional tasks. Do not fight the losing battle, instead Make The Time!

Make Good Lists and Stick To Them! Sit down and plan out your daily schedule hour by hour. Treat your at home job like you would dental appointments, soccer practices, and play dates. Note down each task you need to accomplish and schedule the time to complete it.

Don't answer the phone each time it rings. Get caller id and voicemail or an answering machine. Keep the phone near by you as you work. This way you can glance at caller id and KNOW the caller is not your child's school, your spouse, or another important call that needs immediate attention. Otherwise let the caller leave a message and schedule your phone time into your day. Return calls at a set time or times each day to avoid jumping from your tasks to phone and back again all day long.

August's WAHM SUCCESS STORY

This month we would like to introduce you to the Freedom At Home Team, Kristen Cote and Kelly Pira. Together Kristen and Kelly run successful work at home businesses.

Kristen Cote:
Like many women, I went on maternity leave just prior to the birth of my son. Circumstances beyond my control made returning to my career impossible. However, the need to financially contribute to the family was still important, as well as providing care for my two young children. AmeriPlan has allowed me to meet both those goals, while having a great time!

Kelly Pira:
I am a work at home mom with 2 young children and a wonderful husband.

When I found out I was pregnant with our daughter, I knew I wanted to find a way to stay home. I had tried other home-based business over the years, but had never found any that were very successful. After a lot of research, I finally found Ameriplan® and the Freedom At Home Team.

WAHM Submitted Recipe: Potatoes Au Gratin


Makes 4 Servings

Ingredients:

3 small or 2 large potatoes (sliced)
3/4 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
2 cups milk
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper

Instructions:

Boil the potatoes until soft but not falling apart. Meanwhile heat butter until melted, add flour, beat and then beat the milk in slowly. Bring to a boil then lower heat to med-low. As it thickens, add about half the cheese. Mix this sauce with the potatoes and layer the potatoes with the rest of the cheese in a casserole dish. Microwave just long enough to melt the cheese.

Alternative Instructions or Variations:

You can add cooked bacon, ham, or sausage if you want to turn it into an entree.

This pretty much goes with anything
